Not a lot of people know this, but before Chris Evans was the iconic First Avenger with a military haircut or even before he was engulfed in flames as The Human Torch with a buzz cut, he was a model. He started out in 1999 as “Tyler”, a model for Hasbro’s board game “Mystery Date” wherein girls compete who’d get the dream-boy and who would get the dud. I’m sure you’ve guessed that Chris Evans was the dream-boy with his bright smile, dreamy eyes and brushed-up spiked dark brown hairstyle that fit his surfer character.
Since those early years of his career, he has been through a lot both professionally and in his personal life with his crippling anxiety. One of those personal struggles is his hair loss problem. Back in 2013, at the MTV Movie Awards, he said, “I have no problem saying this, but I’m losing my hair.” Unlike the other male celebrities who were worried about how they look, it was a different case for Evans who said, “I’m supposed to be like this superior human. He can’t be balding…How horrible would it be if this superior man has male pattern baldness?”. That is so Captain America. Apparently, he was more worried about his MCU character and how the fans are going to see their hero rather than his personal looks.
We applaud Chris Evans’ selfless spirit and ask you to join us in celebration of his gorgeous hair before they are fully gone.
